GenZero & AJA Climate Partner on Ghana Landscape Restoration Project

The Kwahu project in Ghana, led by GenZero and AJA Climate Solutions, exemplifies Singapore’s commitment to advancing climate action despite global headwinds. Launched in 2024, the project aims to restore 51,000 hectares of degraded land, regenerate biodiversity, and create livelihoods for up to 25,000 community members through agroforestry and training.

In 2025, it secured S$15 million in Singapore’s first government tender for nature-based carbon credits, demonstrating how ambition is being translated into tangible outcomes. As one of the first Article 6 projects between Singapore and Ghana, the Kwahu project underscores the importance of international collaboration in driving high-integrity carbon markets, delivering real climate impact and socio-economic benefits.
