World Cities Summit

The biennial World Cities Summit (WCS) is a global platform for government leaders and industry experts to address liveable and sustainable city challenges, share integrated urban solutions and forge new partnerships. Into its ninth edition, the next WCS will be held in Singapore from 2 to 4 Jun 2024.

Since its inauguration in 2008, WCS has been attended by over 400 mayors and governors representing over 250 cities from around the world, as well as senior leaders from government, business, international organisations and academia. WCS is jointly organised by Singapore's Centre for Liveable Cities and the Urban Redevelopment Authority in conjunction with our key partner, the Asia Infrastructure Forum. Highlights of the Summit include the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize, the WCS Mayors Forum and the WCS Young Leaders Symposium.

Held annually, the WCS Mayors Forum is a by-invitation-only event for mayors and city leaders to discuss the most pressing issues confronting them and share best practices. In 2023, the WCS Mayors Forum was held from 24 to 26 Sep in Seoul (as the 2018 Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize laureate). After the WCS Mayors Forum 2024 in Singapore, the next edition will be hosted by the city of Vienna, the 2020 Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize laureate.
