SINGAPORE CONNECTS CLIMATE PURPOSE AND PARTNERSHIPS TO BOOST CLIMATE PROGRESS AT THE COP30 SINGAPORE PAVILION

The Singapore Pavilion in Belém sets the stage for dialogue and exchange, highlighting partnerships and ideas that advance climate action and sustainable growth.

Belém, 10 November 2025 – The Singapore Pavilion opened today at the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) in Belém, Brazil. This is Singapore’s fourth Pavilion at COP, reflecting continued commitment to global climate action. It brings together stakeholders from the public, private and people sectors to strengthen cooperation and advance concrete sustainability efforts.

2 The opening segment featured welcome remarks by Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, Ms Grace Fu, alongside an address by Singapore’s Ambassador for Climate Action Mr Ravi Menon.

Connecting Purpose and Partnerships

3 This year’s Pavilion builds on past editions with a renewed focus on how collaboration accelerates meaningful progress. Its theme, “Interwoven Purpose, Regenerating Tomorrow”, embodies Singapore’s conviction that effective climate action stems from connection between people, economies and nature.

4 Responding to the COP30 Presidency’s call to accelerate implementation, the Pavilion showcases Singapore’s contribution to global climate efforts and the partnerships that enable them. Inspired by the Wood Wide Web – the underground network through which trees share nutrients and sustain forest ecosystems – the Pavilion symbolises how cooperation nurtures renewal and builds resilience.

5 Throughout the two-week conference period, the Pavilion will host more than 40 programmes, convening diverse partners including corporations, academic institutions, international organisations and non-governmental organisations. Ten youth delegates from the Climate Youth Development Programme (CYDP) will organise two youth-centric sessions, ensuring that intergenerational perspectives shape climate discourse.

6 Programmes at the Singapore Pavilion will feature keynotes and panel discussions, alongside a growing number of interactive formats such as roundtables, workshops and networking activities for deeper dialogue and collaboration. The Pavilion also showcases Singapore’s innovation in climate adaptation and resilience, complemented by inter-pavilion partnerships that broaden perspectives and strengthen global networks.

Design Rooted in Nature

7 The Pavilion’s physical design reflects the spirit of interconnection. Inspired by the interwoven root systems of forests, the pavilion design symbolises how enduring connections sustain life and are vital for collective progress. Constructed with upcycled and reusable materials, the space demonstrates sustainable design principles, and reflects Singapore’s belief that innovation works in harmony with nature.

8 Visitors to the Singapore Pavilion can collect limited edition lapel pins inspired by this year’s theme.
