Voices of Climate Action

People power climate action. Meet inspiring individuals from all walks of life who are transforming climate challenges into opportunities and building a resilient future. Their stories will spark fresh ideas for how you can make a difference!

“Do what you can for the environment — no step is too small.”

Jasmine Tuan is a fashion lover whose world shifted after meeting a passionate zero-waste community. This encounter inspired her to confront the industry's "take-make-throw" cycle head-on. She co-founded Cloop to make secondhand fashion the norm, believing we already have enough clothes to dress generations. What started with swaps running out of living rooms is now a powerful movement. Jasmine and her team have launched over 100 swaps and deployed 450 yellow textile recycling bins across Singapore, transforming a personal passion for pre-loved clothes into a nationwide initiative for climate action.

“Climate action today ensures a liveable environment for future generations”

Dilys Teoh's passion for cities and urban spaces sparked her climate journey. As a Policy Manager at the National Climate Change Secretariat, she shapes Singapore's domestic and international climate policies, focusing on making buildings more sustainable by 2050. At COP30, Dilys will engage in negotiations to scale up global mitigation ambition. She believes small acts by many individuals are equally important in driving climate action. In her daily life, she eats less meat, shops secondhand and is mindful of her travel emissions. For Dilys, climate action is a continuous journey, where consistent steps today create positive impact for tomorrow.

“Collective actions, big or small, can make an impact on our sustainable future.” - Yeo Chai Lee

“Climate action grows when neighbours feel ownership, not obligation.” - Iswandie Wanhar

From Pasir Ris to Tampines West, digital marketer Chai Lee and training manager Iswandie Wanhar are mobilising their communities for climate action. As community volunteers, they encourage their fellow residents to care for the local environment and build green habits through activities such as intertidal walks. Both believe taking small, consistent actions can lead to a profound impact on our environment.
